Deadpool 2 is officially starting production this year, and after a rocky start that involved a director’s exit and some script finagling, finally the movie seems to be back on track. We know that Cable will be in this one (though we still don’t know for sure who’s playing him), and rumors abounded earlier this year that Fox was casting around for an actress to play Domino. Today, we finally know that, yes, Domino will be in the movie, and Atlanta star Zazie Beetz will play her.
It’s been a little while since the last update on Deadpool 2, so we’re definitely due for some fresh news — like this casting report, which suggests that several great actresses are on Fox’s shortlist for the role of Domino, a character who has been consistently rumored for the highly-anticipated sequel. According to the latest rumor, the studio is eyeing a handful of stars to play the mutant mercenary (and X-Force member), including Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Kingsman favorite Sofia Boutella.
Who are the greatest ever X-Men? Over the coming weeks, we’re going to try to answer that question, selecting five X-Men at a time from across the franchise’s long history, and pairing up your votes with the opinions of our own panel of highly opinionated X-Men fans. Your scores will be added to ours to determine the top 100 X-Men.
This week, we rate one of the oldest X-Men, whose ice powers are totally normal, and one of the newest, whose gold ball powers are totally not. Plus, a lady with a gun, a fella who punches things, and perhaps the greatest New Mutant of them all.
I grew up in the '90s, so no matter what I do with the rest of my life, I will always have a certain amount of nostalgic affection for X-Force. The hyperviolent, gun-toting mutant strike force that was originally created by Rob Liefeld back in 1991 has gone through a lot of different lineups and changes over the years, but one thing they've always had in common is that they specialize in massive amounts of destruction.
But just how is that destruction carried out? Graphic designer Rogan Josh has the answer in a new poster that he made where the various rosters are broken down to show just what they can accomplish, whether it's through claws, blades, claw-blades, or just good old fashioned guns.
