A lot has happened to Matt Murdock since returning to New York; there’s no Foggy or Kirsten, no-one remembers that he’s Daredevil, and he has a brand new sidekick called Blindspot. Following the recent battle with the villainous cult-leader Tenfingers, Daredevil’s world is set to get rocked once again as his first love Elektra returns, and we’ve got a preview from Marvel of Daredevil #6 by Charles Soule and Matteo Buffagni.

Season Two of Daredevil drops on Netflix this Friday, and it features Élodie Yung as Elektra Natchios, Matt Murdock's ex-girlfriend who also happens to be a ninja assassin. Yung is the second actress to play a live-action Elektra, but nobody really wants to talk about Jennifer Garner's two outings as the character in the less than fondly remembered Daredevil and Elektra films from 20th Century Fox. But if the first season of Daredevil is any indication, this promises to be a far more interesting take on the character. So what better time than now to look at some of the internet's best Elektra art?

We're less than a week away from the return of Netflix's Daredevil series, and this time, The Punisher and Elektra are coming along for the ride. Marvel’s Daredevil gave fans in attendance of New York Comic-Con a quick glimpse at Season 2, including first looks at Elodie Yung’s Elektra and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, though those outside the Javits Center were firmly out of luck … until now! Like so many before, enough version of Netflix’s Daredevil Season 2 teaser made it online for a glorious, HD rendition to appear.

Last year’s New York Comic-Con brought us our first look at Marvel’s Netflix Daredevil, and while Jessica Jones understandably pulled some spotlight this year, Matt Murdock is back with some punishing new enemies. Comics covers are strange beasts. While comics themselves are sequential art --- pictures arranged in just the right order to tell a story or convey an emotion --- covers freeze that process into a single static image. But Mike Del Mundo's work at Marvel shows that they can be much more than pretty pictures. You don't need me to tell you that Del Mundo's covers are gorgeous. He's an incredible draftsman with an even stronger sense of design. Covers let him push the latter talent to the fore, dancing through various styles, from stark two-color minimalism to detailed paintings, via pastiches of Escher and Art Deco posters, all depending on what suits this issue best.

You can now officially stop speculating, as Daredevil has completed the highly-anticipated task of casting Elektra. Elodie Yung, whom you may remember from G.I. Joe: Retaliation, has joined the cast of Season 2 in the role of the Greek ninja assassin and Matt Murdock’s new love interest. In addition, Netflix has also revealed the first teaser image for Season 2, promising Elektra’s imminent arrival.
