Can you believe it took until the second season was about to start for Funko to get on board the Gotham train? To be fair, it did also take a few seasons to get Arrow Pops, but Funko moved fast with the Flash [insert Price is Right winning theme here]. These are the jokes, people. Anyway, this week, Funko announced the superhero police drama Gotham would indeed finally join the Pop family of figures, with the major players from the cast getting their own caricatures in the highly popular line. Coming in September, the Gotham Funko Pop series will include James Gordon, Harvey Bullock, Fish Mooney, Oswald Cobblepot, Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne. All of them are immediately familiar if you've seen the show, but Fish Mooney and Selina Kyle, and to a degree Oswald, have a bit more of a signature look that transcends the plainclothes stylings of the GCPD and boarding school brat Bruce. There's an outfit you never saw Kenner make way back when.

Looks like ScreenCrush and ComicsAlliance are teaming up to do another Funko Pop giveaway. Can you believe it? As if we haven't already given away enough Pops to fill up a living room, we're actually ending summer with yet another contest. We'd say it's because we like you and want you to have nice things, but honestly, it's because we just can't keep this many Pops in the house all the staffers of ComicsAlliance and ScreenCrush live in and make it to the kitchen unabated. This time, we've got a few of the most popular leading ladies in the Marvel Universe, as well as the big bad Darkseid and a classic Batman in honor of the 1966 series. Those guys are nice and all, but it's really about the Agent Carter, Black Widow and Storm Pops. That's a trifecta that would put nearly any other trio to shame, in both ass-kickingness and costume amazingness. Those are totally real words, too. Look 'em up in Roget's next time you visit 1987.

This September is home to arguably the most anticipated shopping day of the year for many longtime Star Wars fans. Hasbro, Disney and Lucasfilm have appointed that day as "Force Friday," which will be the very first day merchandise from Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available for purchase. If you've visited a Toys 'R Us in the past month, you may have spotted the countdown clock, ticking down to 12:01AM on Sept. 4, 2015, which will be when hundreds of stores nationwide open their doors for thousands of fans eager to get their hands on Force Awakens merchandise. To this point, much of the upcoming slate of releases for the Force Awakens have been shrouded in secrecy. There have been hints and teases as to what to expect, but until very recently, no one outside of the major merchandisers and manufacturers really knew what was in store. That all changed about a week ago when the very first leaks started springing from the good ship Star Wars. While we've only seen a few Hasbro products in blurry pictures to this point, today Amazon (which is always good for a few leaks) accidentally pushed the pre-order pages for all of Funko's planned Force Awakens Pop figures.

Are you the ultimate Funko Pop fan? You know the one I mean. You're the kind of person that tracks down each and ever last Funko figure, including the special exclusive variants to ensure you've got a complete collection of the stylized characters from comic books, video games, TV, film and more. The house you live in probably has a special room where you display the pieces, either in their boxed glory, or out in the open for all to bask in the itty-bitty details. If you are that kind of fan, Funko's got some good news for you. With the new Pop Home collection, you can now bring your fandom into the kitchen. Teased at Toy Fair earlier this year, the line made its official debut this week, and will launch in October with the first wave based solely on the Marvel license. That means anyone getting married this fall will finally be able to add all the Marvel-themed salt and pepper shakers to the registry it can handle... provided the only salt and pepper shakers they want are Spider-Man, Captain America or Iron Man.

There comes a time for every single character of every single movie, video game, television show, sport, galactic council, and trading card series when it must succumb to the Pop transformation. This September, that time comes for Batman: Arkham Knight, the latest and final game in Rockstead Studios' Batman: Arkham trilogy. The reveal comes courtesy of IGN, which debuted the four figures in the upcoming line exclusively this week. Previously, Funko released figures based on the Batman: Arkham Asylum incarnations of Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Killer Croc, but hasn't touched either Arkham City or Arkham Origins as of yet. That's okay though, as the most recent Batman game will likely draw more water from fans.

This month, the second themed box of goodies from Funko's Marvel Collector Corps is shipping out. Focused solely on upcoming underdog hero (not just in persona, but potentially at the box office as well), the Ant-Man box brings more of the tried and true Funko flavor to your home. I was a bit skeptical about this month's shipment, just as I'm skeptical about the strength of the Ant-Man feature film. I have no real allegiance to the character, but the mysterious nature of the Collector Corps schedule (boxes are revealed slowly throughout the year) means I'm subject to the possibility of a box full of goods that I may not be all that excited about.

Yes, dear friends, July has arrived, and we draw ever closer to the ultimate comic book convention in the US, and quite possibly the world, San Diego Comic-Con. While many will venture the halls in hopes of seeing the first footage from the current crop of highly-anticipated blockbuster features, or to catch a fleeting glimpse of the hottest stars appearing in iconic roles, the real challenge of SDCC is reserved for the collectors. Yes, once a year, nearly every major toy, statue, replica and plush manufacturer releases a limited edition piece that can only be found on the floor of the San Diego Convention Center. Devoted fans, aficionados and (unfortunately) re-sellers have been eagerly awaiting the chance to be one of the fortunate few who are able to obtain some of the rarest and most-coveted collectibles to release in a calendar year. Now, with just one week to go, we've gotten almost every last company to reveal its biggest secrets. Collected here for you is a comprehensive list of not just what will be available, but where it will be available, and how much it will cost you (should prices have been provided). This is every comic book toy and collectible exclusive for San Diego Comic-Con 2015.

The inevitable domination of the world by Funko's Pop figures is all but a foregone conclusion at this point. You can't hope to stop them, you can merely hope to contain the power they hold over the masses. Sadly, we won't be able to help stave off the eventuality of it all because we're too addicted to collecting the cute little blighters. That's where you come in. We're going to be giving away 10 different comic book Funko Pop figures over Twitter for the next few weeks. Sure that means more Funko figures out in the wild, spreading like wildfire. It's a risk we're willing to take however, just to make our loyal readers happy.
