Guardians of the Galaxy Main

So it's no surprise that Funko has debuted some new GotG figures as part of its own sizable 3.75" tall Pop! Vinyl empire -- or that the usually four-character Pop! wave is extra big to accommodate the film's five heroes.

Iron Man 3: 1/6th Scale Starboost (Mark XXXIX) Collectible Figure Coming In November

Hot Toys Iron Man 3 Starboost Mark XXXIX Main
Hot Toys

Remember a few months before Iron Man 3 arrived in theaters and images of a white "Space Amor" toy popped up online, fueling rumors that ol' Tony Stark would potentially blast into the final frontier (an armor limitation that was a major plot point in previous films) and, I dunno, see The Guardians of the Galaxy in a post-credits scene or something? Well, that didn't happen -- or hasn't happened yet -- so the "Starboost (Mark XXXIX) Armor" is kinda just some toy jazz, but at least it's cool-looking toy jazz. Following releases from Hasbro, the white/gold/black armor will get a 1/6 scale release from Hot Toys in November... well after the GotG movie hits theaters in August.

Angel Hits On Angela and Drax and Iceman Do Some Male Bonding In Dale Keown’s ‘Trial Of Jean Grey’ Variants

Trial of Jean Grey Angel Angela Dale Keown

Coming off the "Battle of the Atom" storyline, the All New X-Men are entering "The Trial of Jean Grey." A crossover between Guardians of the Galaxy and All-New X-Men, the story features the original X-Men, brought into the present from the past, dealing with an alien race that has decided to put Jean Grey on trial for the crimes of the Phoenix, which she has yet to commit in her own timeline.

For the variant covers to the series, Marvel has enlisted veteran artist Dale Keown. Perhaps best known for his work on The Incredible Hulk in the early '90s, Keown is not quite as prolific with interior comics art as he once was, but he's still occasionally producing cover work for Marvel, in addition to his creator-owned comics. For this series, Keown has produced variants for each issue -- taking place in All New X-Men #22-24 and Guardians of the Galaxy #11-13 -- with each piece spotlighting a member of each team. And, yes, Angel and Angela are paired up, because of course they are.

You can check out the first five covers, courtesy of Marvel, below.

There have been very few images officially revealed from the set of Marvel's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Case in point: the actor, who is playing Groot in the 2014 film, previously posted a video of himself walking around on stilts and talking about the character. This time, he's posted a picture of himself posing with every comic reader's favorite minimalist sentient tree.
