Detective Chimp Celebrates The Season In DC's 'Holiday Special'
When DC Rebirth was announced, it promised to bring back a sense of levity and community that had been missing from the DC Universe since the shift to the New 52 --- and there's nothing like a holiday special to lighten the mood and remind people of the communal relationships between superheroes, so that's what we're getting this holiday season!

Harley Quinn and Joker Are Way Creepier as Nendroids Somehow
Somehow, Good Smile found a way to make Jared Leto's Suicide Squad Joker even more of a creep than he was on screen. I'm not even sure how that's possible considering all the ridiculous things we know about Leto and his Joker, but they did it. This is the kind of thing that happens when you try to chibi-fy deranged sociopaths though. They come out of the wash looking even weirder for wear. While the Harley Quinn doesn't fare quite as poorly in her transition to Nendoroid form, it's still a little bit weird having a cutesy girl that looks like a cherubish child in hot pants and a belly shirt. Some things that works for more realistic action figures just don't make the leap as clearly for the Nendoroid form. That doesn't mean Good Smile won't try though.

DC Multiverse's Suicide Squad Goals Should Aim Higher [Review]
Mattel's DC Multiverse line was once merely home to 4" figures from the Batman: Arkham video games, with a few select film characters thrown in for good measure. After the disappearance of the DC Universe Classics, and its replacement DC Club Infinite Earths, it was nearly impossible to find 6" DC Comics figures outside of your local comic shop. With the arrival of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the success of the CW television universe, the DC Multiverse line soon had a foundation for a new 6" figure line. There have been a few waves of 6" Multiverse figures in 2016, with Mattel mixing things up with comic and Hollywood versions of familiar characters to keep things fresh. Of the latest lines to arrive this summer, Suicide Squad is entirely based on the film incarnations. It's also one of the largest, most diverse waves to arrive since the new Multiverse launched. It's also still very inconsistent.

The Importance Of LGBTQ Representation In All-Ages Comics
LGBTQ representation in comic books is important, and it’s something we’ve talked about --- and will continue to talk about --- at ComicsAlliance at length. But what doesn’t get said enough is that LGBTQ representation is especially important in all-ages and young adult comic books. Representation at such a young age can be legitimately life-changing for children, and while certain publishers are making tremendous strides in the right direction, others are missing the boat completely.

Justice Comes to the Farm Thanks to the New Bat-Cow Super-Pet Plush
Next spring, the wild world of the DC Super-Pets will finally see the addition of arguably the greatest hero to ever roam the pastures of Wayne Manor. Sure, everyone credits Ace the Bat-hound with keeping the grounds secure, but have you ever seen Ace do anything but curly up next to one of the 74 fireplaces the mansions holds? I thought not. No friends, the real hero of Gotham's green fields isn't a caped canine, but instead caped cattle. Bat-Cow is the hero we deserve, and thanks to DC Collectibles, he'll soon be able to keep all your other Super-Pet plushes safer than they've ever been.

Our Squad: The DC Supervillain Fantasy Draft, Part Four
There are enough great DC supervillains to fill Belle Reve Prison several times over, so we’ve asked ComicsAlliance contributors Benito Cereno, Elle Collins, Chris Haley, Emma Lawson, Kieran Shiach, and Tom Speelman to compete in putting together their very best fantasy DC supervillain teams. In part three, we introduced the stealing element, and while there was only one theft, things are about to get hectic in our fourth and final day of the draft. Can Emma hold on to Harley Quinn? Will Benito keep his team of apes together? Is anyone here going to rise above and resist the urge to steal?

There are enough great DC supervillains to fill Belle Reve Prison several times over, so we’ve asked ComicsAlliance contributors Benito Cereno, Elle Collins, Chris Haley, Emma Lawson, Kieran Shiach, and Tom Speelman to compete in putting together their very best fantasy DC supervillain teams. In part two, Deathstroke, Deadshot, Black Manta and Lady Shiva found homes on our villainous squads --- but as we head into part three, everything could change. We're introducing our wildcard element! Every player can steal just once from another team. And in order to incentivize bad behavior, anyone who steals gets a bonus pick at the end of the contest.

Injustice 2 Meets its Squad Goals With Harley Quinn and Deadshot
This week at Gamescom, NetherRealm Studios unleashed its latest two roster additions to Injustice 2 upon the world. Fresh off their starring turns in Suicide Squad, both Harley Quinn and Deadshot will be front and center when the DC fighting game sequel hits shelves next year. Harley Quinn's return was about as easy to predict as the inclusion of the Trinity, but Deadshot is a bit of a surprise addition that gives Injustice 2 a bit more ranged variety. Both are shown off in the latest trailer, which also gives us a glimpse at a number of armor variations you can earn for the Suicide Squad members.
