Even as recently as a few weeks ago, Whedon was still coming to terms with the failure he felt after Avengers: Age of Ultron opened to backlash from fans. With Marvel bringing in new talent and taking its films into different directions, it seemed the door had closed on Whedon and Marvel ever working again.

A ways back, Avengers director and ex-Marvel mainstay Joss Whedon seemed to cast shade at ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. over Coulson’s resurrection, despite he himself directing the pilot, noting that movies would consider the character dead. Now, Whedon clarifies his comments, denying he regrets keeping Clark Gregg in his badass role, even as Marvel TV tends to get the movies’ “leftovers.”

Back in April, Amazon sent an e-mail to customers claiming that Avengers: Age of Ultron was available for pre-order on DVD and Blu-ray and would include an “extended edition”. The online retailer quickly retracted that statement saying that nothing had been officially confirmed by Disney and/or Marvel. Now, director Joss Whedon has had his say on the upcoming Avengers 2 DVD and can confirm that there will be no extended or director’s cut of the film, mostly because he’s “super f---king lazy”.
