Any DC fan worth their salt well remembers that fan-favorite Kevin Smith came very close to bringing us a newer, weirder Superman, but now Smith has his eye on a different Justice League-r. Smith will direct an episode of The Flash down the line, if you wanted to see what Jay and Silent Bob thought of the Arrow-verse.

'Death of Superman Lives' Clip Shows Nic Cage's Costume Test
Superman Lives is one of those great projects that might have been, like Alejandro Jodorowsky’s Dune or Richard Stanley’s The Island of Dr. Moreau — like both of those films, Superman Lives now has its very own documentary examining the film that never was and the speculation surrounding it. A new clip from The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? features never before seen footage of Nicolas Cage’s costume test in which the actor wears a version of the Superman suit.

One day, every pop-culture property will team up with every other pop-culture property. We're getting there bit by bit. Case in point: Sometimes-comics stars KISS and the Scooby-Doo team will join forces in a new animated feature, Scooby-Doo! and Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery, which will be out on Blu-ray and DVD July and on digital on-demand services a little earlier, July 10.

Scribd Invites Subscribers To Catch Up On Daredevil Comics
Back in February, digital book subscription service Scribd made the rather surprising announcement that it would start offering comics from publishers including Marvel, Valiant, IDW, Boom and others in its $8.99 per month subscription, making it a sort of Netflix for comics (as well as books). Now, Scribd is promoting the actual Netflix's new Daredevil series by recommending some of the comics on its service that can best introduce readers to the character. They've got some pretty good ones. Check out what Scribd is suggesting as a primer after the jump.

Rumor Darkseid Is The Villain Of The 'Justice League' Movie
If a rumor from The Wrap reporter Jeff Snider is to be believed, Marvel Studios and DC Entertainment could soon have competing, craggy-faced, evil space gods appearing in their films very soon. Thanos has already made one appearance in a Marvel film, and his voice actor for Guardians of the Galaxy, Josh Brolin has been announced. Now, Snider reports that none other than Darkseid, the seeker of Anti-Life and the villain that simply "is," will be the big bad of the planned Justice League film, which is said to be coming out in May 2017.

With the current resurgence of Batman '66 at DC and the ongoing Green Hornet revival going on over at Dynamite, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before we'd get another shot at their famous TV crossover. Now, we have confirmation that it's actually happening, in the form of a 12-part, digital-first series that will run biweekly starting on June 4 as a crossover produced by both companie

TV: BBC America has posted the first official photo of actress Jenna-Louise Coleman in her role as the next (but still unnamed) Doctor Who companion set to debut this Christmas. From what I can tell, she seems to like sweaters.
