We make a regular practice at ComicsAlliance of spotlighting particular artists or specific bodies of work, as well as the special qualities of comic book storytelling, but because cartoonists, illustrators and their fans share countless numbers of great pinups, fan art and other illustrations on sites like Flickr, Tumblr, DeviantArt and seemingly infinite art blogs that we’ve created Best Art Ever (This Week), a weekly depository for just some of the pieces of especially compelling artwork that we come across in our regular travels across the Web. Some of it’s new, some of it’s old, some of it’s created by working professionals, some of it’s created by future stars, some of it’s created by talented fans, awnd some of it’s endearingly silly. All of it is awesome.

If our weekly Ask Chris column isn't enough of definitive comic book (and pro wrestling) opinions for you, good news: ComicsAlliance is proud to present Here's The Thing, a series of videos where you can join our own extremely opinionated senior writer, Chris Sims, as he sits in his living room under a framed portrait of Destro, drinking a cup of coffee and sharing his opinion on comic books. On this week's show, a viewer asks Chris to explain Hawkman and ends up sparking a journey through one of the most complicated histories in comics, trying to answer one simple question: Why isn't a dude who fights dinosaurs with a mace while not wearing a shirt the coolest guy ever?

Kyle Baker Posts Art For Upcoming Comic 'Circuit Breaker'
A little while back Kyle Baker revealed on his website details of Circuit Breaker, his upcoming Image comic. Illustrated by Baker and written by Kevin McCarthy, the comic stars a young girl robot in a future Tokyo and is inspired largely by the work of Osamu Tezuka. Baker revealed some early art when the title was first announced, but he's posted a new page, both at the ink stage and in color, a

Kyle Baker Illustrates Justin Bieber's Mugshot
Look, before you say anything, I'm tired of hearing about Justin Bieber too. We are all tired of hearing about Justin Bieber. And were I not literally paid to be on the internet, I would mostly be avoiding it like the plague until people found more interesting things to talk about. But at least one good thing has come out of this: Bieber's mugshot, taken after his arrest in Miami for driving under

Five Great Comic Book Adaptations Of Movies
Back before the VHS tape made it possible to watch the movies you wanted when you wanted (as long as Blockbuster had a copy in stock), movie novelizations and comic book adaptations of films were some of the only options fans had when it came to reliving a movie they wanted on-demand. While the majority of these were rightly viewed as cash-ins that let comics companies float on someone else's succ

Kyle Baker Launches New Comic Strip 'Meh'
If you twisted my arm and made me choose just one, I might tell you that Kyle Baker is my favorite cartoonist. Since his first professional work was published nearly 30 years ago, Baker has been one of the greatest talents in comics. The Cowboy Wally Show and Why I Hate Saturn remain two of my favorite books, with the latter being a book I frequently loan to people who think they couldn't ever e
