A couple weeks ago, we took a look at DarthKy's proposed LEGO Cuusoo Assault On Wayne Manor set, a massive, three-level build that included Batman's ancestral home and the anti-crime basement beneath. Now, the same team is back with their newest proposed project: a massive LEGO recreation of the X-Mansion, including an underground Danger Room.
This thing is basically amazing, full of deceptively complicated pieces and fantastic nods to the history of everyone's favorite mutants. Check out more info and images below!
It was only a couple of days ago that we mentioned the campaign to get a full Wayne Manor/Batcave set produced by LEGO's Cuusoo program, and today, everyone's favorite building block manufacturers have announced what they're actually going to be putting into production. Following up on their Back to the Future DeLorean, we're going to be seeing a 30th Anniversary Ghostbusters set, complete with the Firehouse, ECTO-1 and the four Ghostbusters themselves!
Check out the reveal of the winner and a few pictures of the original submission below!
Between its new animated feature, launching The Simpsons sets and about a dozen other things, LEGO's got a lot going on this year. That's why it's a bit surprising to know that there won't just be one line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles LEGO sets this year, but two. Sets based on the upcoming live action/CGI hybrid TMNT film are in the works, of course, but are still largely shrouded in mystery. Box art for more sets based on Nickelodeon's CG animated series have surfaced, though, and... well, those are probably the ones most fans are going to be the most excited about.
We've put a lot of fan-made LEGO creations into the spotlight over the past few years, and usually, they represent the hard work of dedicated fans, using pieces pulled from dozens -- sometimes hundreds -- of sets. As cool as it is to see a towering Arkham Asylum or a motorized Joker's Funhouse, it's always a little bit disappointing that you can't run out to the store and buy one of your own, even if it does reduce the chances of stepping on a LEGO brick in the middle of the night. Now, though, we finally have a chance of gtting one of the coolest LEGO sets I've seen.
It's called "Assault On Wayne Manor," a three-level representation of Batman's ancestral home, complete with his anti-crime basement, full of secret passages, equipment and trophies, and it's up for voting right now on LEGO's Cuusoo project!
Listen, we know you probably already saw the low-res images (complete with sweet glaring flash!) of LEGO's upcoming The Simpsons House set that surfaced over the weekend. They were everywhere. We don't blame you for looking. We did. But you know what? You deserve better. Hit the jump to see the official, hi-res images, along with an HD video of the set in action.
A year or two ago, LEGO's DC Superheroes line released a set called "Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape." At the time, I thought it was pretty awesome -- It had minifigs for Batman, Robin, the Joker and Harley Quinn, an appropriately creepy setup for a villainous hideout, and even a little roller coaster car that traveled through it on tracks. It was neat. And then Brickbaron came along and basically made it look like baby school with his version of the Joker's funhouse, complete with carnival rides, deathtraps and puzzles, all of which are motorized to put the whole thing in motion.
It's quite possibly the coolest LEGO build I've ever seen. Check it out in full video, complete with sound effects for Batman's eternal spin-kick, below!
