Liz Prince, Amanda Kirk and Hannah Fisher's upcoming Coady and the Creepies is a punk-rock spookfest about a band of triplet sisters traveling the country on tour and realizing they have a closer connection to the supernatural than they maybe thought. To celebrate the release of the first issue next week, Liz Prince teamed-up with Danny Bailey of The Jabbers to bring The Creepies' signature song "Creepies R Go!" to life, and then Boom Box turned it into a lyric video which debuts today.

Boom Studios Arrive At ECCC With Variant Covers And More
This weekend in Seattle is Emerald City Comicon, and Boom Studios will be there with a bunch of cool stuff you won't be able to get anywhere else. My personal favorite is an exclusive variant cover for Coady and the Creepies #1 by the book's writer, Liz Prince, which features the eponymous band climbing on Seattle's famous Fremont Troll statue. The best con-exclusive variants always have a sense of place, but Boom's bringing more than just that.

Death Can't Stop Punk Rock In 'Coady and the Creepies'
It's hard being a young punk rock band on the road. It got even harder for Corey, Criss, and Coady, three sisters who make up a band called the Creepies, when an accident left Corey with a scarred face, Criss in a wheelchair, and Coady dead. But they can't give up now, when the band's just started getting attention. So all three of them keep going, including Coady. Maybe being a ghost will make her an even better drummer.

Liz Prince Talks 'Tomboy' And The State Of Autobio Comics
In her new memoir Tomboy, Liz Prince explores the thorny world of gender expression, puberty, and girlhood, as experienced by someone who bucked every norm of it. It’s not always an easy read, but it is one of the most necessary comics published this year. Prince’s work is tender, wry, and above all, honest. It is this honesty that so illuminates her work, from the single travails of Alone Forever to her chronicles of the punk scene. As Tomboy makes the rounds of Best of 2014 lists, ComicsAlliance spoke with her about autobiography, internet fame, and being “not like other girls.”

The 'Adventure Time' Cast Make Their Own Zines In Issue #30
One of the great thing about the Adventure Time comics -- and there are a lot of great things about the Adventure Time comics -- is how great they are for telling stories with the familiar Cartoon Network characters that you could only really tell in comics. The best example might have been the fantastic Choose-Your-Own-Adventure issue, but next week, writer Ryan North and artists Kat Philbin, Missy Pena, Becca Tobin, Liz Prince, Carey Pietsch, Jesse Tise, Ian McGinty, T. Zysk, David Cutler, Yumi Sakugawa, Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb (phew) are doing it again with a special issue that's all about the cast making their own zines. That's right, everyone: If you've ever wanted to know what a zine would look like if it was made by BMO, now is your chance to find out. It's about a bear named Cool Bear, and it is amazing.

If you dug the first installment of Chris Schweizer's "Princess of Rad Hats" backup in last month's Adventure Time, you'll be pleased to know that it'll be back for part two in Wednesday's Adventure Time #14. Schweizer's second installment of the tale backs up the usual main feature by Ryan North and the art team of Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb, as wrapped in covers by Mike Holmes, J

As the gender-swapped theme song says, "With Cake the Cat and Fionna the Human, the fun will never end," but come June, they will at least temporarily conclude as Adventure Time With Fionna and Cake #6 caps its miniseries run by Adventure Time animated series storyboard artist and character designer (and creator of Fionna and Cake herself) Natasha Allegri...

For those of us used to spending their work days... and much of their free time... in the digital space, Finn and Jake's predicament in Adventure Time #14 may be an all-too-familiar plight. Life in the Land of Ooo has its upsides, however, as punching monsters and singing songs tend to alleviate AT's protagonists' various predicaments, whereas you and I would probably just have to harsh our rente

The Land of Ooo is home to many emotional souls, but the Earl of Lemongrab is perhaps the most high-strung of them all - and that's the way Adventure Time fans like him. As such, artist Liz Prince will metaphorically crank the character to 11 in the special "Fruit Salad Days" backup in next week's Adventure Time: Marceline and the Scream Queens #3 from Boom Studios...
