Medical Mysteries and Maybe Monsters in 'Mockingbird' #1
If I say that Mockingbird #1 is a comic about repeated doctor's office visits, I worry that won't sound very exciting. And don't get me wrong, Mockingbird #1 is a very exciting, fun comic. But if I'm going to be honest, it's also a comic about repeated doctor's office visits. See, not too long ago, Nick Fury saved Bobbi "Mockingbird" Morse's life with the help of the Super Soldier Serum and the Infinity Formula. Now SHIELD is concerned about possible side effects. Side effects that include psychic phenomena and visions of elderly zombie people. So they've got her coming into the SHIELD clinic for weekly checkups, and as they go on, things get weirder.

Twice As Smart: Cain and Niemczyk Talk 'Mockingbird'
This week sees the arrival of Mockingbird, Bobbi Morse, in her first ever ongoing series. Written by bestselling author Chelsea Cain and Marvel newcomer Kate Niemczyk, the series picks up on the momentum from Cain's Mockingbird one-shot last year, along with the increased exposure of the character as part of the cast of Agents of SHIELD. Mockingbird is a character with a long history, and ties to just about every Avenger. But who is she when she stands alone, and what motivates her as one of the best-known Marvel heroes with no super-powers to depend upon. There's a lot going on behind those awesome shades, so ahead of the first issue debut this week, ComicsAlliance spoke to Cain and Niemczyk about their take on one of Marvel's toughest secret agents. As an added bonus, Marvel shared a first look at Niemczyk's black and white pages for issue #2!

Hasbro Unleashes an Onslaught of Marvel Legends at NYCC 2015
Where Hasbro's pre-San Diego Comic-Con event treated us a new Spider-Man line, including Spider-Gwen and more, this week's pre-NYCC show was much more of a mixed bag. Though some of the figures shown actually made a brief appearance in San Diego (Captain America, Mockingbird and Taskmaster), the new additions were a stunning surprise. Of course, as great as it was to see such variation shown in the 6" Marvel Legends line, the news that the 3.75" line would be ditching its former monikers to fold into the Legend banner was just as huge. No longer its own separate brand, the former Universe/Infinite line of figures will now also be known as Marvel Legends moving forward. Though it might cause some confusion among less savvy consumers, Hasbro has been using a similar tactic with the Star Wars Black Series to keep its highly-articulated figures, which are geared towards the adult collector, portioned off from the less articulate series. By bringing the 3.75" figures under the Legends marquee, Hasbro's just making a smart business decision to put its highest quality figures all in the same room. But enough about branding, let's talk about that 1990s Rogue.

A few months back, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans were surprised to learn Marvel and ABC intended to develop a spinoff around Adrianne Palicki’s Mockingbird and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter, ostensibly two of the strongest additions to the main series. That project was quickly shelved, but will apparently fly again with a pilot order for Marvel’s Most Wanted on ABC.

The 100 Greatest Avengers, As Voted For By You
Who is the greatest Avenger of all time? You probably have your personal favorites. You probably also have a pretty good idea who the popular favorites might be. We wanted to know for sure, so to mark the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron we conducted a giant-size poll to give you the chance to choose between more than 100 Avengers members, and rank them from least to best. Now the results are in. And we think there are a few surprises.

Greatest Best Favorite Avenger Ever: Group E
With Avengers: Age of Ultron just around the corner, interest in these heroes has never been greater, so we’ve decided to pit all the official comic book Avengers against each other in a battle for your affections. Who is the greatest, best, favorite Avenger of all time? Only you can decide. We’ve created voting groups that mix up different eras of Avengers membership. Group E, by random chance, is dominated by Avengers ladies, including Mockingbird, Firestar, and the under-appreciated Moondragon --- but the group may actually end up being dominated by two Marvel big guns, Hulk and Daredevil. Good thing you can vote tactically, as the two or three most popular Avengers will go through from each group!

Vote on the Best and Worst Comic Book Romances, Round VII
From Wally West and Linda Park, to Harley Quinn and Mistah J, we're asking you to vote on comics' most famous couples so we can determine the best (and worst) romantic partnerships that comics have to offer. If you think the couple is star-crossed and meant to be, vote 'True Love.' If you think they've got unstable chemistry and can only end badly, vote 'Bad Romance.' In today's polls, we're looking at matched pairs. Hawkfolk. Acrobats. Size-shifting bug-themed heroes. When it comes to love, is it always opposites that attract, or is the secret to a lasting relationship the shared ability to breathe underwater? Fun fact: This is what Carrie Bradshaw would sound like if she lived in the Marvel or DC universe. Let's try another; If you want to build a future together, does it help to share a history of murdering people for the Russians?
