‘Chew’ Coming To Home Video In Animated Form

Hopes for John Layman and Rob Guillory's Image Comics series about banned chicken and food-based powers, Chew, coming to Showtime as a live-action series were dashed back in February, but at least one screen adaptation is definitely happening, and it'll be animated.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Quality Transmedia, the company of producer Jeff Krelitz, snatched up Chew when Showtime opted not to pursue a series beyond the pilot stage. Krelitz is planning to take Chew on a similar route to the one he took with Image series Peter Panzerfaust, which he first adapted into a motion comic before it was picked up by BBC Worldwide for TV development.
