The Decade-By-Decade Superteam Fantasy Draft: Day Two

dbd-feat2

We're looking back at the long and weird history of superhero comics by picking our favorite heroes from each decade in our latest fantasy draft. Each team must include one character who debuted before 1950, one character that debuted in each decade from the '50s to the '90s, and one character that debuted in 2000 or beyond, plus two wildcard picks from before and after 1980, for a total team of nine characters.

Today our writers pick a Doom Patroller, a dog, an extreme teen, a latter-day Stan Lee creation, and some of the most popular heroes of the 21st century

‘DC Legends’ Unveils Legendary Forms For Black Canary, Flash, Wonder Woman, And Other Heroes

Warner Bros Interactive
Warner Bros Interactive

One of the fun things about Warner Bros. Interactive's new DC Legends mobile game is powering up your heroes, helping them gain new abilities to help in the fight against Nekron and the Manhunters. And once you reach the top, the heroes really become legends.

Below we have a look at five of the heroes in their Legendary forms: Wonder Woman, the Flash, Raven, Dr. Fate, and Black Canary. I have yet to get far enough in the game to achieve any of this, but looking at these designs has me excited to try.

Ten DC Teens We’d Like To See In ‘Young Justice’ Season 3

yj_featured

We've all heard by now that Young Justice is finally coming back for a third season. But we don't know anything yet about what that's going to consist of. For DC fans like myself, one of the best things about Young Justice was its expansiveness. This was a show about an ever-growing team of teen heroes, in a world full of other heroes and villains.

Anyone could show up on Young Justice. It featured Mal Duncan as the Guardian, and had a subplot revolving around Zatanna, Zatara, and Doctor Fate. You never knew who from the DC Universe was going to appear next, either as a member of the team, or as a guest for an episode or two. With the show coming back, we've decided to speculate on which characters might make their debut in Young Justice's third season. Here are some DC teens we want to see added to the mix.

Harrowing Heights And High School Hijinks In ‘Raven’ #2 [Exclusive Preview]

RAVEN_featured

In Raven #2, out October 19, the titular Teen Titan is faced with multiple mysteries, not the least of which is how to be a happy and socially functional high school student.

Raven is written by Marv Wolfman, the character's creator, with art by Alisson Borges and colors by Blond. Yet despite the presence of Wolfman, this Raven bears little resemblance to the original version from the old New Teen Titans comics, and that's probably for the best, as that character wouldn't do as well leading her own title.

Living A Teenage Dream: The Best Teen Titans Fan Art Ever

titans_featured

Ever since Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad teamed up to take on Mr. Twister in The Brave and the Bold #54, way back in the summer of 1964, The Teen Titans have been the second most important superhero team in the DC Universe. And considering the most important team, the Justice League, is basically a pantheon of gods, that's nothing to sneeze at. Being comprised of younger heroes, the Titans are the team who live on the cutting edge and reflect the times (in the strange ways that comics do) whether it's crazy made-up Bob Haney 1960's slang, or Marv Wolfman and George Perez injecting X-Men-inspired 1980's soap opera.

We put together a gallery of the best Teen Titans fan art to celebrate these heroic kids.
