Tonight's Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe special didn't blow too many minds as it preempted Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but the hourlong Marvel movie commercial special did succeed in revealing concept art of two characters fans have been waiting to see for awhile. Get a look at Scarlet Witch (played by Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver's (played by Aaron Johnson) potential costume designs from Avengers: Age of Ultron -- plus Iron Man battling the Hulk in his Hulkbuster armor -- after the cut.

Last week's Uncanny Avengers, by Rick Remender and Steve McNiven, killed off a whole bunch of characters. The last issue of Avengers Arena, by Dennis Hopeless and Kev Walker, came out the same day with that book's final death tally. It was a good day for funeral directors in the Marvel universe.

The deaths in these two titles ran the gamut from newly minted minor characters seemingly created just so they could die to major Marvel heroes with substantial fanbases and decades of history. Does that distinction matter in a genre that takes such a light view of death?

‘Kick-Ass’ Star Aaron Johnson Joins ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ As Quicksilver

A day after Samuel L. Jackson let the cat out of the bag that Elizabeth Olsen will be playing the Scarlet Witch in Avengers: The Age of Ultron, Latino Review is reporting that Wanda Maximoff's brother Pietro, a.k.a. Quicksilver, has been cast, too.

The speedster will reportedly be played by Aaron Johnson, who already has a superhero pedigree with his starring role in the Kick-Ass franchise. This marks the second actor to be cast in the Quicksilver role -- essentially concurrently -- as Evan Peters is set to star as the same character in Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past.
