Superman is not only one of the greatest superheroes of all time, but he set the standard for everything that followed, and as such many of his villains are just as iconic and archetypal. With a roster of baddies stretching back to the late '30s, it's going to be tough to narrow it down, but we need to know who The Man of Tomorrow's ultimate enemies are!

The end of the year is always a time for reflection, and we're taking this opportunity to look back at the long and weird history of superhero comics by picking our favorite heroes from each decade. Our panelists must put together fantasy teams drawing from the last 80+ years of superhero comics, using heroes from any publisher.

The DC Collectibles Designer Series has been home figures based on the art of some of the publishing arm's biggest stars like Darwyn Cooke, Amanda Conner and Greg Capullo. There have been a number of statues that have featured the stylings of those artists, and many more, but only a select few have been given the privilege of having their own individual action figure lines. Lee Bermejo is the latest to join such rarefied air with a Batman and Superman delivered in his gritty style. It's almost a shame the rest of the line was already canceled.

This month in DC's March solicitations, there are a few big shake-ups in the two Titans books as each team gets a new member that fans have been waiting to see for a long time. There are also some interesting developments with Wonder Woman's villains, and possible answers to the mystery of the two Supermen coming our way next year.

And since there’s no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we’re taking it upon ourselves to compile Top Five lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics. This week, we’re looking at five of Cap’s most memorable team-ups that don’t involve the people he hangs around all the time in the Avengers or his famous partnerships with characters like Bucky, Sharon Carter, and the Falcon.

What may go down as one of the worst years in recent memory is slowly crawling to a close, and while we wish it good riddance and hope against hope that 2017 will be an improvement, there is some small solace in looking back over the year that's passed and figuring out what stuff from it was the best. That's right, it's "Best of..." list time, and today we're taking a look at the Best DC Covers of 2016.

Justice League Action, premiering this Friday, December 16, at 6 PM EST on Cartoon Network, is the first new TV version of the Justice League since Justice League Unlimited ended in 2006. From the advance promos, we knew the show was aiming for a younger audience from that show, but beyond a few casting announcements we didn't know many details. Now we've had a chance to watch this week's premiere episode, and we have plenty to say about it. This review deals with the basic plot elements of the episode, and details which characters appear, but beyond that we'll do our best to avoid spoilers.

Q: What is the definitive Christmas comic? — @Koltreg A: "Definitive" is a pretty tricky requirement to meet. You have to find a comic that's not just definitively Christmas, with all that goes along with it, it has to be definitively comics, too --- and if you think it's difficult for people to agree on what Christmas is all about, just wait'll you try getting them to pin down one single issue that defines comic books as a medium. At least religion has centuries of scholarship; comics just has loudmouths writing columns about them on the Internet. That said, I do think I've found one that's as close as we're going to get: 1989's Christmas With The Super-Heroes #2.
