The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Page 4
In a daring move, Sony Pictures has opted to release new information about one of the villains in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 rather than announce that a new one will be appearing. The bad guy in the spotlight? The Green Goblin, who appears unmasked in a new still the studio released to Total Film.
Though his identity may not be much of a surprise to comics fans, it does buck comic book tradition a bit. See for yourself who it is (if you don't mind the spoiler) after the jump.
Diamond Select Toys had much to show at Toy Fair 2014, and while much of it couldn't be photographed (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Minimates! Guardians of the Galaxy Minimates!), there was still plenty to take in. Coming soon from DST and Art Asylum are all new The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Godzilla, Sin City and The Walking Dead Minimates. There was also a TMNT bottle opener and pizza cutter shaped like Michelangelo, because a party isn't a party without a certified Party Dude. You can check out a selection of what DST had on display after the jump.
One of the main goals of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 would appear to be setting a world record for the most antagonists packed into one superhero film.
We already know that Electro (Jamie Foxx), The Rhino (Paul Giamatti), Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) and Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper) will appear in the film, and now, if a tweet from director Marc Webb is any indication, it looks like The Office's B.J. Novak will be playing yet another of the webslinger's nemeses, the Spider-Slayer, Alistair Smythe.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 already has its fair share of bad guys and maybe-bad-guys in the form of Electro, The Rhino, and Harry Osborn. But video game adaptations of movies always have to be bigger, and they always demand more supervillain bosses. Enter Kraven the Hunter.
Old Sergei Kravinoff is front-and-center in the latest trailer for Activision and Beenox's video game version of the movie, which is out on essentially every contemporary console the same day the movie, which opens on May 2. Check out the first trailer for the game after the jump.

What are you doing on New Year's Eve? If you're on the east coast, you just welcomed the new year and Sony Pictures is swinging in your festivities with new footage from this summer's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. If you're still waiting for midnight in the rest of the continental U.S., well, the new footage is here for you early. There's lots of Electro, a little bit of (Mecha)Rhino and... plenty of Stan Lee to get things started. See what cinematic Spider-Mannery awaits on May 2 of 2014, after the jump.
2013 was kind of a rough year for Peter Parker. In the comics, he spent most of it quite dead, while Otto Octavius swung around in his body as the Superior Spider-Man. On Broadway, producers announced that his musical, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is coming to a close in January.
Will 2014 shine brighter for the old Web-head? Well, it's starting with a bang, at least. As a promotional stunt for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which opens May 2, Spider-Man will be front-and-center during the Times Square New Year's celebration tonight, as viewers will get to see an exclusive clip from the movie. Spidey will even be named "The Official Hero of Times Square 2014."
Check out this clip from Good Morning America in which a suspiciously quiet Spidey and director Marc Webb talk about tonight's festivities!
Like seemingly every year these days, 2014 will see its fair share of super hero films, with the most anticipated possibly being Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Both films had their first trailers debut recently, and now we're seeing more photos arrive online, with this latest batch spotlighting the Winter Soldier, Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Redford as Agent Pierce, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jamie Foxx as Electro and more.
