What’s This?! Harley Quinn Appears In ‘Batman ’66′ #7

Harley01

It probably doesn't come as a surprise to anyone that Batman '66 is hands down my pick for the best digital comic going today, but it's always worth repeating. It's the highlight of each and every comics week, and while I've personally been waiting decades for a new story about Egghead, Jeff Parker and Joe Quinones have spent the latest issue bringing in a character who may -- may -- have more appeal to modern audiences.

In this week's Batman '66 #7, they've introduced the 1966 version of Harley Quinn -- or at least, someone who'svery close.

batman66mezitzmain

It's been a big few months for licensed Batman '66 with DC Digital launching its comic series and loads of licensors working on products modeled after Adam West and Burt Ward in their iconic superhero roles. Some toymakers are thinking big -- or huge -- with their takes on the classic Batman show, but Mezco is offering colorful characters at a smaller, 2" tall size with its upcoming line of Batman '66 Mini Mez-itz. The toymaker had multiple versions of Batman, Robin, Catwoman, Penguin, Riddler and Joker on display at its Comic-Con booth, plus its in-scale Batmobile for the toys to tool around in. Get a load of some of the smaller-scale Batman '66 toys after the jump.

The Hot Toys Booth: ‘Batman ’66′ And ‘Iron Man 3′ [SDCC 2013]

hottoyssdcc2013_main

A few of Hot Toys' recently teased 1/6 scale superhero figures made their way to a full display this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con International. Tony Stark's Iron Man 3 Mark 33 and 38 (a.k.a. "Igor") suits were standing tall in armory-style displays and Batman '66 Batman and Robin were housed inside a glass box with their classic Batmobile. All of the toys are presumably prototypes, so fans can expect a few minor changes before they arrive at retail - especially since none of them have proper pricing info or release dates set in stone just yet. Fans shouldn't let that stand in the way of gawking at the detail and spot-on actor likeness on each figure, though. Get a close look at some of Hot Toys' 1/6 scale figures displayed at SDCC after the cut.

NECA's 1/4 scale superhero movie figures have a sizable presence at the toymaker's Comic-Con booth this year. All five figures stand 18 or so inches tall and feature unique accessories and, in the case of the caped crowd, some cloth costumery.
