Yesterday we reported on the leaking of Marvel Comics' Marvel Previews free magazine, unveiling their entire post-Civil War II line-up including comics such as The Unstoppable Wasp, Solo, Foolkiller and Prowler. Today, the magazine has officially been released via comic stores and online, confirming even more titles and creative teams, including a Kate Bishop Hawkeye book and the much awaited Gamora solo title from Guardians of the Galaxy screenwriter Nicole Perlman.
All the way back in 2007, Marvel Comics announced the huge news that animation icon Genndy Tartakovsky would be writing and drawing a Luke Cage miniseries set in the character's '70s heyday. There was an initial promo image that showed Power Man in all his blouse-and-tiara glory, but slowly, time went by and the project drifted into the pile of teased but never completed comics alongside Kevin Smith's Daredevil/Bullseye: The Target and Jon Favreau's Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas.
However, there was some rumblings last year that the project may once again be heading towards completion, and today it has been confirmed that beginning in October, Marvel will publish Cage!, the delayed and much-anticipated mini by Tartakovsky.
It sounded so cool. Way back in 2007, Marvel announced CAGE!, an out-of-continuity mini-series celebrating Luke Cage in all his '70s Power Man glory. The book was to be written and drawn by Genndy Tartakovsky, the creative mastermind behind Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (the good version)...
