Like seemingly every year these days, 2014 will see its fair share of super hero films, with the most anticipated possibly being Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Both films had their first trailers debut recently, and now we're seeing more photos arrive online, with this latest batch spotlighting the Winter Soldier, Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Redford as Agent Pierce, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jamie Foxx as Electro and more.

Marvel Releases The First ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Trailer [Video]

Anticipation for Captain America: The Winter Soldier is running pretty high, and it's really not surprising why. Captain America: The First Avenger ranks among the more critically successful of all the films set in the Marvel cinematic universe, and so its sequel is certainly one that many viewers would be looking forward to. Further stoking excitement is the fact that, as it reportedly will heavily feature Black Widow and Nick Fury, it serves as a sequel of sorts to last summer's Avengers movie. The film is still six months away, but Marvel has just revealed the first teaser trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which you can view below.

Hasbro Reveals New ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2,’ ‘Captain America: Winter Soldier’ And Marvel Legends Action Figures [NYCC 2013]

Hasbro Party 2013 NYCC Action Figures

Hasbro revealed a number of new 6" Legends-scale action figures and 3.75" toys last night at its pre-New York Comic Con party. Among them? New Captain America: The Winter Soldier action figures, plus The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie toys including Electro as portrayed by Jamie Foxx. Ultimate Spider-Man was also represented with a new 6" Ultimate Green Goblin build-a-figure as part of the Spider-Man Legends Infinite series, which also includes new Black Cat, Beetle, Carnage and Superior Spider-Man. Cap fans will be happy to learn that the upcoming movie line will also include plenty of comic toys, including a Hydra soldier and a massive S.H.I.E.L.D. Mandroid build-a-figure. Marvel Entertainment closed out day three of Comic-Con with their highly anticipated 'Marvel Studios: Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.' Hosted by Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige, the panel started out with Tom Hiddleston coming out and going into his Loki character to entertain the crowd, was followed by the cast of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film joining Feige on stage as they debuted footage from the film, and closed out with Joss Whedon coming out to make Marvel's biggest announcement of this year's SDCC: the sequel to last year's phenomenally successful Avengers film will be titled Avengers: Age of Ultron, meaning the villain will be the powerful android with close ties to the Avengers who's tormented the team for decades.

‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Teaser Poster Reveals Battleworn Shield

Unlike in most Marvel comics where Captain America's indestructible shield survives battles without so much as a scratch barring extraordinary (i.e. involving Wolverine's adamantium claws) circumstances, his movieverse mode of defense is introduced as an unpainted vibranium prototype. Despite getting a very recognizable paint job that survived the Chitauri invasion in The Avengers, judging by a new teaser poster the red, white and blue beacon of defense may get tarnished something fierce on April 4 when Captain America: The Winter Soldier debuts in theaters.
