In case you thought Luke Cage’s first official trailer, Iron Fist footage or Daredevil Season 3 news weren’t enough, prepare for The Defenders! Straight from Comic-Con 2016, the four Marvel Netflix heroes gather for a first teaser that confirms a familiar voice, and a Hand-y foe ahead.

Civil War II promised to be a landmark event in the Marvel Universe and there have already been multiple huge casualties as the moral dilemma at the heart of the story splits the heroes right down the middle. This week’s Civil War II #3 saw yet another death of an iconic Avenger, this time at the hands of an ally, and the entire world is left asking why. In the wake of the huge events of Civil War II #3, Marvel has released details about the previously classified tie-ins The Fallen #1 and The Accused #1, including who they actually refer to, and which creative teams will be telling their stories.

Yesterday we reported on the leaking of Marvel Comics' Marvel Previews free magazine, unveiling their entire post-Civil War II line-up including comics such as The Unstoppable Wasp, Solo, Foolkiller and Prowler. Today, the magazine has officially been released via comic stores and online, confirming even more titles and creative teams, including a Kate Bishop Hawkeye book and the much awaited Gamora solo title from Guardians of the Galaxy screenwriter Nicole Perlman.

A hero is defined by their villains, and the world of superhero comic books is filled with some of the scariest and silliest bad guys around. Rogues’ Gallery aims to settle the score and determine who is the true arch-nemesis for some of favorite superheroes, and we need your help to do it! Daredevil has one of the deepest rosters of diverse and deadly villains in all of superhero comic books, and his villains are known for making it much more personal than your average hero/villain relationship. Kevin Smith seems to have embraced his new role as a TV director, already returning to The Flash with an eye toward Buckaroo Banzai and a Mallrats TV series, but the comic icon now wants to capitalize on his own Daredevil history. It’s been a bit lively in Spider-Man-land over the past week, as new rumors have surfaced regarding some of the characters and costumes we might see in the web-slinger’s reboot. The latest report suggests that the villainous Tinkerer will be joining Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and although Sony already has Robert Downey Jr. on loan, there’s another Marvel star tossing his sizable hat into the ring.

Attention now turning from Civil War to Avengers: Infinity War (or whatever they end up calling it), time and time again Marvel brass have tempered expectations as to whether the climactic MCU event will finally bridge the gulf between movie and TV. Not likely, it seems, as writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely reveal the “nearly impossible” challenge in logistics.

No matter how great the divide between Marvel’s TV and movie universe, fans have always quietly banked on Avengers: Infinity War uniting all its live-action heroes in one universe-shattering showdown. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo don’t want to get your hopes up, however, noting “our focus is on telling the stories of the characters that currently exist on the movie side.”

It didn’t take for the hype of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher to generate talk of his own Daredevil spinoff, though Marvel and Netflix were quick to keep expectations down, even as Season 2 clearly set the character up for his own adventure. Now, Frank Castle’s war journal is officially open, as Marvel confirms a spinoff, showrunner and all.
