'Civil War II' To Explore Precrime Ethics, Kill Another Hero
If you know that a crime is going to happen, how far should you go to prevent it? That's the question at the heart of Marvel's first 2016 crossover event, according to a piece in Sunday's New York Daily News reporting on a recent Marvel writing summit for Civil War II. A sequel to the 2007 event Civil War, which inspired this spring's big Captain America movie, the new series from Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez will see Iron Man go up against Captain Marvel in a battle of ideologies and punching, rather than pitting Stark against previous Civil War opponent (and movie rival) Captain America.

Tony the Tiger? Why Is Mary Jane Joining the 'Iron Man' Cast?
Well, this is weird. Mary Jane Watson, model, nightclub owner, and ex-wife of Peter Parker (it's a fact, you gotta deal with it) is making a transfer to the Iron Man supporting cast in the fourth issue of Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez's Invincible Iron Man this December. Marvel made the announcement on its website today, declaring that she will take on a new, "unexpected" role.

Created by Robert Kanigher and Sheldon Moldoff, Poison Ivy first graced the comic page back in the historic year of 1966, when The Sound of Music won Best Picture and England somehow won the World Cup. Her first appearance was in Detective Comics #181, and since then the character has remained a constant thorn in the Dark Knight's side.

Who's Who in the Second All-New All-Different Marvel Teaser
Marvel said it wouldn't be flooding fans with teaser images before it unveils its new line in Marvel Previews next month, but we all know those folks can't resist the drip-drip-drip of a good teaser campaign, so here we are! Less than 24 hours after the first teaser, a second image from artist David Marquez has been released that drops a whole bunch of hints about the future of the Marvel Universe, with characters from the X-Men, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Inhumans and even the Thunderbolts. If the first image was A-list, this one's a little less starry, but it may be a better indicator of some of the unexpected surprises that Marvel has in store.

Four Spideys, New Wolvie, New Hulk After 'Secret Wars'
Marvel will launch about sixty new #1s in the four months after the end of Secret Wars according to a series of interviews with Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso this morning. Set eight months after the events of the current storyline, the new titles will feature an all-new Hulk, and a Wolverine who may or may not be the resurrected Logan. First-look promotional art by David Marquez suggests that both the Miles Morales Spider-Man and the Gwen Stacy Spider-Woman will take their place in the Marvel Universe alongside the Peter Parker and Jessica Drew versions. The promotional art also confirms that Sam Wilson will remain as Captain America, and the female Thor (whose identity was recently confirmed) will keep her hold on Mjolnir.

Marvel To Relaunch The Ultimate Universe With Three New Series
It's been fourteen years since Marvel launched its Ultimate line of comics, with the goal of establishing a universe in which its characters were younger and modern, and where many of the continuity restrictions of the established Marvel line didn't apply. Over that time, many changes have been made and several significant characters have died -- most notably Peter Parker, who was replaced in the

The Complete Jack Kirby Character Sketchbook (Summer 2013)
For the past few years, I've been taking a sketchbook to conventions across the country and getting pieces of art with a single theme: Characters created or co-created by the King of Comics, Jack Kirby. After 52 sketches, you'd think I'd be running out of characters, but with only a couple repeats, it's still going strong. Today, in honor of Kirby's 96th birthday, I'm putting all the sketches in
