Guardians of the Galaxy

Vin Diesel’s Groot Speaks (Plus Other Stuff) In New ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Trailer [Video]

Guardians of the Galaxy second movie trailer
Marvel Studios

If you liked the first Guardians of the Galaxy trailer well then prepare for... more or less the same kind of thing only with a more serious tone and some fresh footage. That's not really a complaint, there's actually quite a bit more to see from the James Gunn-directed film starring Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley cooper as Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel as Groot. Most of it involves laser guns and space ships, to boot.

New ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Movie Photos Peek Behind The Scenes

Guardians of the Galaxy Behind The Scenes
Marvel Studios

Marvel Studios has released four new images from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, two of which are official stills and two of which go behind the scenes.

The most interesting of the bunch is a shot of Chris Pratt's Star-Lord running along the terrain of an alien planet, with the wall behind him just a flat wall of blue. It's not all that different from an old Star Trek set. It just goes to show how much post-production work goes into making movie look as polished as the final screenshots presented here look.

Check out all four images after the jump!

Guardians of the Galaxy Star-Lord Clip
Marvel Studios

If you've seen the trailer for the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie, you're likely already familiar with the prominently featured scene in which Chris Pratt's Star-Lord tiptoes up to an ancient-looking artifact with designs on stealing it in a manner reminiscent of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Now, Marvel Studios has released a slightly longer look at that scene in what you might call a clip or what kind of seems like a slightly different trailer cut. Whatever you'd call it, the video awaits your eyes.

Comics Alliance Presents The Harvey/Renee Index of Superhero Diversity

Untitled-1391

We like diversity here at ComicsAlliance. We've said it before, and we'll say it again. We're also big fans of superheroes, and that probably goes without saying.

We especially like diversity with our superheroes. Diversity broadens the genre's reach, encourages respect and understanding of people's differences, and gives minority audiences more chances to see themselves in fiction, and those are all great things. Because of this, we've come up with a new way to look at diversity in superhero comics - particularly team books. We call it the Harvey/Renee Index.
