In an age where many adults use their phones as flashlights, not every Marvel Comics fan may need a nightlight to make their way from their bedroom to their bathroom/kitchen/dojo during the ungodly hours they find themselves shook from slumber by the sum of their deepest regrets and darkest secrets manifest in crippling night terrors, but hey - they can't hurt! 3D Light FX even has stylish wall art options modeled after Iron Man's head, Captain America's mighty shield, Thor's hammer Mjolnir, Hulk's fist and Spider-Man's dome. They even come with crackly decals to make it seem as if they're crashing into -- or erupting through -- your wall.

Most toy companies that licensed Iron Man 3 action figures released info about their wares in advance of the movie this past summer, but it looks like Kaiyodo has been waiting for the Blu-ray to drop before announcing its Sci-fi Revoltech Iron Man Mark 42. Standing a little taller than 6", the latest IM3 action figure offering packs 18 points of articulation - not unlike Hasbro's Marvel Legends-scale version. The imported Revoltech will pack quite a few more accessories than its domestic counterpart when it arrives on January 1 of 2014, however, coming equipped with multiple effect parts and hands.

While fans got a glimpse of Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum's Minimates plans for the recently wrapped Age of Ultron storyline in the form of Wolverine and a golden Ultron Drone at SDCC 2013, Marvel's revealed four more characters from the event that will soon join the line in one fell swoop. Coming to comic and specialty stores in early 2014 will be a proper Age of Ultron box set packing 2" tall versions of Nicky Fury, Iron Man, new Marvel U resident Angela and a hulking six-armed Ultron.

Last week we spoke to Hulk And The Agents Of S.M.A.S.H. supervising producer Cort Lane and writer Paul Dini about character development and what to expect in this new series. The latest episode, titled "Hulk Busted," features Iron Man, and is the first guest appearance of another Marvel character in the series. Specifically, it's a character who represents a stark contrast to Hulk. Iron Man is the most popular hero in the animated universe, and the Hulk, even though he has his rage under control, is still an outcast, and there's some very obvious resentment there that makes for an interesting dynamic.
In our continuing interview series with cast and crew, we spoke with Lane again about the relationship between the two heroes, and whether or not there's definite continuity between Agents Of S.M.A.S.H., Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-Man.
First issues of event comics have to accomplish a lot. They have to introduce a conflict, introduce a villain, give heroes memorable moments that bring the reader back to see more, set up side stories that can be fleshed out in other titles, have a big battle scene, and the list goes on.
Infinity #1 by writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Jim Cheung with a team of inkers, colorist Justin Ponsor and letterer Chris Eliopoulos, does some of those things, but in a sort of sidestep rather than a straight-ahead dash. And some of the items on the checklist, it willfully denies the reader. In the end, I wound up liking the approach, but getting there took a lot of trust not every reader may have.
A Marvel/DC crossover may not be in the cards in comic books anytime soon, but you can at least have that Thor/Superman fight you've been itching to see again on the screen of your iPad.
That's because WizKids/NECA and MFV, makers of the HeroClix TabApp Elite are adding Marvel characters to the game, which already features quite a few DC heroes.
NECA's 1/4 scale superhero movie figures have a sizable presence at the toymaker's Comic-Con booth this year. In addition to the Batman '66 and Batman '89 figures that were initially shown at Toy Fair being displayed with their upcoming accessories, NECA also debuted its Avengers Thor and battle-damaged Iron Man, plus a Man of Steel Superman. All five figures stand 18 or so inches tall and feature unique accessories and, in the case of the caped crowd, some cloth costumery.
