If you've spent any time on this site at all, you probably know that some of us are big fans of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. We've praised the work of Katie Cook and Andy Price on the series on multiple occasions, as well as provide annotations of the first story arc of the series. And now, thanks to IDW, we have a seven page preview of issue #9, featuring the return of Cook and Price after a four issue absence, and you can check it out after the cut.

While Entertianment Earth will be selling plenty of its own exclusive items at San Diego Comic-Con 2013, EE booth #2343 will also be the place where fans can find a number of Toys "R" Us items. And by "a number," I mean exactly nine items. Batman '66 enthusiasts will have access to a 6" action figure scale Batmobile, Transformers fans will be able to pick up Masterpiece editions of Acid Storm and Soundwave, My Little Pony collectors can score Nightmare Moon and Rainbow Dash as Shadowbolt figures, Adventure Time viewers can grab a Lady Rainicorn plush complete with her and Jake's puppies, and zombie lovers can get The Walking Dead and World War Z figures. There's also going to be a Winx Club figure if you're into Winx'n.
Japanese clothing brand galaxxxy is collaborating with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and '80s sci-fi anime series Dirty Pair (respectively) in two new apparel collections.
While the full cast of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic have been up to Moon-based shenanigans over in their ongoing series, they're also galloping through solo adventures in the pages of the My Little Pony Micro-Series. It's been a series of one-shot adventures where Twilight Sparkle has dealt with an agoraphobic novelist, Rainbow Dash has slugged it out with weather goblins, and now, it's Pinkie Pie's turn.
Surprising absolutely no one, I've been having a lot of fun reading IDW's My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic comic, and what the second arc lacks in David Bowie references, it certainly makes up for in action. Now, it's heading into the climax of the story, in which Ponyville is preparing to do battle against the Moon. That's right: The friggin' Moon.
Maybe I'm biased having spent the better part of sixth grade painting spare Spider-Man toys to look like Citizen V, but having seen USA Today's reveal of Hasbro's San Diego Comic-Con 2013 exclusives all I can really think is, "It's about dadburn time we got some Thunderbolts action figures."
It's not really surprising that Katie Cook and Andy Price's My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic comic from IDW is a pretty great read. Not only does it have two great creators behind it, but it's managed to perfectly capture the feel of the show and the sense of humor that made it such a crossover hit...
