It looks like there's going to be a "Mutation Situation" when Nickelodeon kicks off the second season of its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CG animated series on Saturday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. ET/PT. Kraang is back on a tear in New York City, sending Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael on a season-long race to retrieve the alien's liberally discarded mutagen cannisters before they create potentially dangerous mutant foes (like the new version of my favorite bad guy Mutagen Man!). What's worse, Kraang and Shredder have followed in the footsteps of previous TMNT incarnations and teamed up to destroy the ninja brothers - along with April O'Neil and new ally Casey Jones. Nickelodeon's supplied CA with a new promo clip showcasing fresh footage from the new season, which you can scope out after the cut.

I think it's fair to say that The Legend of Korra is one of our favorite animated series in the whole wide world, so the wait between seasons has been nothing short of absolute (slightly hyperbolic) agony. Tonight on Nickelodeon, however, our long nightmare is over as Book Two arrives to continue the story of Republic City, the Avatar who protects it, and -- perhaps most importantly -- the professional sports team that she hopes to lead to victory.
To ramp up our excitement even more, we've talked to series producer and director Joaquim Dos Santos about his accomplishments in Book One, what he learned from working on Justice League Unlimited, and what we can expect from Book Two.
With the premiere just two days away, Nickelodeon has released the final trailer for The Legend Of Korra Book Two. Titled "Spirits," the second season will be the first from either of the Avatar shows to not be centered on a particular tribe. Instead book two will focus on Korra's connection to the spirit world and all her past selves, leading to the introduction of Wan, the first ever Avatar.
You can see Wan, Korra, Mako, Bolin, Tenzin and the rest of the crew -- as well as a few new allies and threats -- in the trailer below.
A new launch trailer from Activision and Red Fly Studios offers up a pretty good idea of the fully realized gameplay -- Arkham Asylum-style fighting with four player co-op, lots of weapon-based moves, and one really giant, two-headed mouser. Since it's not a direct tie-in to Nickelodeon's current CG series (or IDW's ongoing comic, for that matter), it bears a distinct visual style to boot. Check it out after the jump.
It's all been leading up to this. After a season spent unlocking the mysteries of the extradimensional Kraang menace, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael must rally to thwart the brainy mutagen manufacturers' invasion of New York City. Airing August 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hourlong season one finale, "Showdown" will see the Turtles and their allies infiltrate The Kraang's Techno-Cosmic Research Institute HQ in a bid to shut down their portal to Dimension X. Will the band of pizza-loving brothers be able to save the day against an army of brainy bad guys and their nearly-indestructable technology? See what you think by checking out CA's exclusive first-look trailer provided by Nickelodeon, after the jump.
For fans of The Legend of Korra, it's been a long wait since the Avatar's triumph at the end of Book One, but now, we're finally closing in on the debut of the show's second season. At Comic-Con, we sat down with show creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, as well as cast members Janet Varney (Korra), PJ Byrne (Bolin) and David Faustino (Mako) to find out how they approached the intensity of the first season and what they've got in store for the next three.
While many fans' minds are justifiably tuned into the looming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series' season one finale, Nickelodeon let loose a highly anticipated season two reveal during Comic-Con just the same. The newest incarnation of Casey Jones is set to join the show this fall in season two - and he's going to knock the daylights out of a redesigned Mutagen Man, among other bad guys.
Nickelodeon's first trailer for The Legend of Korra - Book 2: Spirit has arrived online, giving fans their first big taste of the Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel's second season. Set to debut in September, Book 2 will begin to more fully explore new Avatar Korra's connection to the spirit world, and its reaction to the technological sprawl of the modern nations.
Following last week's announcement of Legend of Korra: Enhanced Experience, the free app that gives fans of the show an early look at the upcoming season, and the reveal of some of the upcoming characters for Book Two (or season two), Nickelodeon has now revealed some of the series new voice actors. Joining the cast are Parks and Recreation's Aubrey Plaza, Dexter's James Remar, House's Lisa Edelstein, and more.
It feels like it's been forever since the first season of The Legend of Korra ended, and to be honest, I was starting to worry that it wouldn't be coming back. Fortunately, we can now rest easy in the knowledge that everyone's favorite Avatar is on her way back. Tomorrow, Nickelodeon is launching the Legend of Korra: Enhanced Experience, a free app that'll give fans a peek at the upcoming season -- including character designs for Korra's iceberg-throwing cousins.
