Noelle Stevenson Covers Ryan North's 'Romeo And/Or Juliet'
Back when Ryan North launched his Kickstarter to publish To Be Or Not To Be, a chooseable-path version of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, he made the promise that if it was successful enough, he'd work on a similarly interactive version of Romeo & Juliet. Now, it's happening, and while we've known for a while that it's set to hit shelves this summer, today we have a brand new cover by Noelle Stevenson to go along with it. And considering that it involves Romeo and Juliet battling a giant robot with buzzsaw hands and laser eyes, I think it's fair to say that once again, North has drastically improved on his source material. Plus, I think there's a distinct possibility that Romeo might become a Batman.

I was in the happy position of sitting at the same table as the Boom Studios/Lumberjanes team when they scooped up two Eisner Awards at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, for best new series and best publication for teens. The team seemed surprised and overwhelemed, but to everyone else in that hall it must have felt like an inevitable moment of truly deserved recognition for a landmark series that showcased exciting new talents and brought a flood of new readers into comics. Now Boom is recognizing Lumberjanes' accomplishment in its own way with a beautiful hardcover collection of the first eight issues; Lumberjanes To The Max.

Exclusive: Noelle Stevenson & Todd Casey Introduce '4 Wizards'
Fans of Noelle Stevenson have been curious to know what she might do next following the print publication of her award-winning webcomic Nimona and her decision to step down as one of the writers of Lumberjanes. Publisher's Weekly answered that question on Thursday afternoon, revealing that Stevenson will team with screenwriter Todd Casey for the fantasy adventure series 4 Wizards from HarperTeen, to be published in 2017. Stevenson and Casey met at Disney when they were working on the animated series Wander Over Yonder, and it was there that the idea for 4 Wizards first developed. ComicsAlliance spoke to the creators to learn more about the wizards and their world, how the pair collaborate, and why they're drawn to the fantasy genre. Stevenson was also kind enough to share her first character sketches exclusively with ComicsAlliance!
