Christopher Nolan & Richard Donner Talk Batman & Superman For ‘Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition’

Untitled-1

Warner Bros. confirmed on Tuesday the details of the long awaited The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector's Edition, a deluxe compilation of Blu-ray discs, literature and artwork from the Batman films directed by Christopher Nolan. While there have been DVD and Blu-ray boxsets of these films before, this edition is the decidedly more luxurious product that Dark Knight devotees have been anticipating since the trilogy concluded with last year's The Dark Knight Rises.

In addition to the high end packaging of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises as well as the supplemental features from their existing Blu-ray releases, the Ultimate Collector's Edition comes with Hot Wheels' Batmobile, Batpod and Bat vehicles;  art cards by Jock and Mondo featuring the villains of the trilogy; a hardcover photo book of production stills and behind the scenes images from all three movies; and, most auspiciously, an exclusive video conversation between Nolan and Superman: The Movie director Richard Donner, in which the two discuss their respective superhero films and how Donner's enduringly popular work informed Nolan's.

The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector's Edition goes on sale September 24 with a list price of $99.97.
