Massive Artist Lineup For ‘All-New X-Men’ #25: Timm, Hipp, Young, Adams, Cho & More

Untitled-2

Getting all the way to issue #25 without a relaunch is a legitimate accomplishment for a Marvel Comics series in 2014, so the publisher and writer Brian Michael Bendis are doing it up big for next month's All-New X-Men #25, with a more than formidable list of contributing artists.

Marvel Reveals RADD New ‘Silver Surfer’ #1 Art And Covers By Allred, Francavilla, Samnee And Young [Preview]

Silver Surfer 1 Preview

Marvel teased a bit of Mike Allred 's art when it announced he'd be working with writer Dan Slott on a new Silver Surfer ongoing series a few months back during New York Comic Con, but today the publisher finally hit us with a wave of shiny new Norrin Radd art. In addition to Allred's previously seen cover, there's three new pages from March's Silver Surfer #1 infused with the Madman creator and recent FF artist's brand of cosmic comic energy, plus a variant cover by Francesco Francavilla, an animal variant by Chris Samnee and a (appropriately dubbed) young variant by Skottie Young. I'm pretty sure that if Kid Galactus chopmed down every planet in adorable cereal-bowl-style, Reed Richards would've just let him have Earth.

‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Star Rocket Raccoon Getting New Solo Series By Skottie Young

Rocket Raccoon Skottie Young
Marvel Comics

After five years of working on Marvel's adaptations of Frank L. Baum's Oz books, Skottie Young is jumping back into the Marvel Universe feet-first with a new series about a character who's primed to become a breakout movie star, Rocket Raccoon.

Young has been working on the series for months now, so he isn't basing his version of the character on the one that will be appearing in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie coming to theaters in August. But Young says the version in his comic, the first issue of which will hit stands July 2, is pretty well in line with the Rocket Raccoon people have seen in the trailer.

Artist Skottie Young Concludes Award-Winning Work On Marvel’s ‘Oz’ Adaptations

Skottie Young Oz
Marvel/Skottie Young

It may not have drawn headlines like some of the other comics series out there, but Marvel's Oz series of adaptations of Frank L. Baum's books, has been going strong for almost six years, earning critical acclaim, Eisner Award honors and placement on the New York Times' Bestsellers list. Perhaps most auspicious of all, the Oz series maintained the same creative team throughout its entire run, a feat virtually unheard of at modern-day Marvel (and in American comics in general).

Now, the artist on the series, Skottie Young, has announced via his blog that his work on the series has come to a close.
