Take this with a grain of salt, etc., etc., but a very interesting image popped up online this afternoon which seems to feature a call sheet for Spider-Man: Homecoming. In addition to listing a few characters we already knew about, the rundown apparently reveals some that haven’t been reported, including a potential third villain. Possible spoilers ahead!

Here’s a sample of the angry comments I’ve read in the last 24 hours about the rumor that Zendaya will be playing Spider-Man’s long-time love interest, Mary Jane Watson, in Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Homecoming.

One of the big selling points for Spider-Man: Homecoming was that the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be returning Peter Parker to his roots as a high school science nerd. While the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield movies, by the nature of their casting decisions, focused a bit more on Parker’s college and post-college experiences, the Tom Holland-led reboot of the Spider-Man franchise would set out to tell a true superhero coming of age story.

Today brings word of two more actors joining the lineup: Comedian and Broad City star Hannibal Buress and Beasts of No Nation breakout star Abraham Attah. Who else is left? If Meryl Streep joins this thing, it’s going to start feeling like Christmas at Oprah’s house.

We have every reason to be excited for Marvel and Sony’s new Spider-Man reboot, not the least of which is the cast, which somehow gets better with each passing week. The latest name in talks to join Spider-Man: Homecoming is Logan Marshall-Green, aka the actor often confused with Tom Hardy thanks to their ridiculously similar — and very handsome — features. But it looks like this is one role Tom Hardy won’t be taking from his less-appreciated doppelgänger.

Although best known for his recent role as Judge Lance Ito on American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, Kenneth Choi is no stranger to the Marvel universe, having previously played one of the Howling Commandos in Captain America: The First Avenger. Choi is returning to the MCU, but this time he’ll be playing a different role as the actor has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Not long after the initial rumor was reported, it was confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. will be making an appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming — returning Sony’s favor following Tom Holland’s MCU debut as the web-slinger in Captain America: Civil War. Since then, we’ve been wondering if any other Marvel characters would crossover to the Spidey reboot, and according to Holland, there’s at least one more hero he wants to see in his upcoming solo film.

Last week came word that Sony Pictures may have inadvertently tipped their hand to the official title of the upcoming Spider-Man reboot by registering a few telling web site URLs. Late last night that speculation was confirmed at a CinemaCon panel when star Tom Holland took the stage and announced that the film would officially be called Spider-Man: Homecoming.
