Disney’s Star Wars Rebels has made no secret of its influence from the original designs of artist Ralph McQuarrie, but multiple designs have escaped even sharp-eyed viewers. No longer, as the latest Season 2 Blu-ray featurette spotlights everything from Kylo Ren’s lightsaber to Leia’s familiar costume.

Star Wars Rebels has gifted us similarly high-profile big bads each year, from beating Rogue One to James Earl Jones’ Darth Vader return, to this year’s reemergence of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Don’t expect Vader to have any significant role going forward, however, as Rebels boss Dave Filoni says there’s been “an elected decision to not have Vader around.”

Lando Calrissian is finally coming to the Star Wars Black Series. Sure, it's with a sculpted cape, but hot damn, we are getting the smoothest son of a gun to ever fly the starry skies. Hasbro may not have had many reveals for the Star Wars Black Series at Star Wars Celebration the week before San Diego Comic-Con, but there were more than a fair share of new items on display this past weekend across the entire Star Wars brand. From Rogue One to Rebels, to the original trilogy and prequels, Hasbro has got you covered when it comes to Star Wars. Joining Lando in the wave --- which follows the one with Jyn Erso, Sabine, Revan and the rest --- will be a Royal Guard, Tusken Raider, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Hera Syndulla. All five figures are characters fans have been asking after since the Black Series launched, but Lando in particular has been on wishlists almost since the line was first revealed. The Royal Guard and Tusken Raider make some nice use of fabric elements, which makes it all the more puzzling that Lando does not. His cape isn't as small as Captain Phasma's, nor does it need to hang in any particular way off his shoulders like hers does. It's not a deal-breaker, but it will make Lando a bit harder to pose with the cape on.

This fall, Star Wars Rebels returns to the air after one of the most spectacular finales in Star Wars television history. There are a lot of questions hanging in the air about the fates of Ezra, Kanan, Hera, Sabine, Zeb and Chopper, as well as the forces of evil potentially driving them apart, like Darth Maul. We got a sneak peek of the upcoming season at Star Wars Celebration Europe, and it only intensified our desire to learn more about what's in store for our favorite characters. We caught up with stars Sam Witwer (Darth Maul) and Tiya Sircar (Sabine) after checking out the premiere to talk about the futures of their respective characters, and what it's like having to keep so many secrets for so long.

The final moments of the second season of Star Wars Rebels are still burning bright in the memories of fans. Though they've barely had time to recuperate from the devastating last episode, for many, it's not too soon to start talking about what's going to happen in the upcoming third season. Fortunately for them, executive producer Dave Filoni, Tiya Sircar (Sabine Wren) and Sam Witwer (Darth Maul) were on hand at Star Wars Celebration Europe to dish on what's to come this fall when Rebels returns to the air. Oh, and to show off the first episode of the upcoming season.

Just when you thought Star Wars Rebels couldn’t get any bigger than to include Vader himself, Season 3 gets expanded in a major way. Not only does the first official trailer confirm Grand Admiral Thrawn as a our new villain, but also a host of Star Wars favorites like Wedge Antilles, the darksaber, what looks to be the Outrider and more!

It wasn’t too long ago that Star Wars Rebels fans eagerly theorized the arrival of Clone Wars vet Ahsoka Tano in Season 1, while the Season 2 finale left it rather vague that she survived her showdown with Darth Vader. Dave Filoni downplayed the notion thereafter, but may since have found a way to return Snips for a role in Star Wars Rebels Season 3.
