Though Lego's Marvel Super Hero sets aren't always focused directly on the films, the frequency with which Marvel movies have released has at least in some ways influenced a great majority of sets over the past few years. There have been some smaller ventures as of late, with Miles Morales getting his own Spider-Man set for example, but for the most part, if you're not an Avenger or part of the MCU, you've been out of luck. Today, that luck changes for one of Marvel's brightest stars. Announced as part of a new vehicle set (via ToyArk), Captain Marvel will finally join the Lego Marvel army, and she didn't have to wait for a movie to get the opportunity. The Avenjet Space Mission is one of two new sets Lego revealed as part of the Marvel Super Heroes line, with Star Wars also getting some love with another two sets. That's all fine and good, but we all know it's Captain Marvel that's the most surprising and welcome reveal of the day. Who even likes a star war anyway?

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Blu Offers ‘Infinity War’ Teaser
Earlier this year Marvel revealed their full upcoming film lineup through 2019, including plans to team up with Sony for a Spider-Man reboot, allowing the web-slinger to crossover into the MCU. During that big Marvel presentation, the studio also showed a teaser for Avengers: Infinity War, featuring the big bad Thanos in possession of all the Infinity stones. That footage leaked online and gave fans a very blurry look at the teaser, but you’ll be able to see a legitimate, high-res version of it when Avengers: Age of Ultron hits Blu-ray.

Deadpool and Thanos have something in common; they're both in love with death. Sorry; Death --- the anthropomorphic personifcation of death. In fact, they've both dated her. That certainly gives Death's two ex-boyfriends something to talk about, and in Tim Seeley and Elmo Bondoc's upcoming Deadpool Vs Thanos four-issue series, it looks like they'll be doing most of the talking with their fists. Or guns. Or explosions. But it looks like they'll have to work together when their mutual paramour goes AWOL. Yes, Death is missing. It's going to get violent. Check out the covers and unlettered preview pages below, featuring a surprise appearance by... Doctor Doom?

Although cosplay has been present for decades within the comics, anime, and sci-fi/fantasy fandoms, social media has played an integral role in the thriving communities of costuming that exist, such as Cosplay.com and the Superhero Costuming Forum. Over the years, the cosplay community has evolved into a creative outlet for many fans to establish and showcase some impressive feats of homemade disguise, craftsmanship, and sartorial superheroics at conventions. In honor of the caped crusaders of the convention scene, ComicsAlliance has created Best Cosplay Ever (This Week), an ongoing collection of some of the most impeccable, creative, and clever costumes that we’ve discovered and assembled into a super-showcase of pure fan-devoted talent.

Marvel's stop-motion animation series from Alex Kropinak and co. have been releasing reliably funny shorts since the project launched all the way back in 2009, but the crew might have outdone themselves with this Christmas edition. Featuring words and voices by Todd Casey (Thundercats, Wander Over Yonderand numerous Marvel Animation work) and Marly Halpern-Graser (Teen Titans Go, Mad, numerous DC Nations shorts), the new piece finds the perpetually failing mad titan Thanos realize that while he cannot penetrate the Inhumans' stronghold, there is one being on Earth whose only super power is gaining entry to anybody's house. Along the way, some of your favorite Marvel superheroes remind us of the true meaning of Christmas: wanting stuff.

Thanos Sucks at Being a Supervillain
We first met the cinematic version of Thanos in 2012 -- his face smiling at us during a mid-credits sequence of ‘The Avengers,’ there to let us know that this guy is the mastermind behind the whole operation. OK then! Eventually we learn that Thanos is trying to collect the Infinity Stones, because if he has those, he will become a god. Fair enough. Though, now, after ten movies in the Marvel cinematic universe – ten! – Thanos has a grand total of zero Infinity Stones. So far, Thanos is terrible at being a supervillain.

Marvel Studios held its annual crowdpleaser panel in the vastness of Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday afternoon. The casts of Ant-Man and Avengers: Age Of Ultron were both on hand -- but there wasn't much in the way of announcements, beyond confirming a lot of things we already knew. No new movies announced. No casting news that hadn't already leaked long ago. But with those disappointments suitably girded against, here's what we learned...
