In recent years, Alan Martin has resurrected his creation Tank Girl --- created with Gorillaz' Jamie Hewlett --- and given her a second life of sorts at Titan Comics with the help of artist Brett Parson. Next week, Tank Girl returns in a new miniseries titled Tank Girl: Gold, which sees the titular anti-hero coming into a great deal of wealth; the only problem is that it's in the form of Nazi gold.

The previous volume, Tank Girl: Two Girls, One Tank saw the lead suffer a traumatic loss of one of her closest allies, and the new series picks up right where the previous one left off with Tank Girl still coming to terms with her grief. Described by Titan Comics as “the Empire Strikes Back of the new Tank Girl trilogy”, things look like they're only going to get darker from here.
