Telltale Announces Some Changes, Unveils Trailer For ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 2 Game [Video]
The Walking Dead was one of the best video games of 2012, hands down, so it’s with great anticipation that we reloaded Telltale Games’ blog this afternoon to see what’s coming down the pike for the game’s second season.
From what we can tell, it won’t disappoint. Be warned: The info below and the trailer for the game may include a few spoilers for those who haven’t played the first game yet, namely in terms of which characters survive and which don’t.
So here’s the big news: Players will be navigating the sequel as Clementine, the young girl Lee spent so much of the first game protecting.
“Assuming the role of an orphaned young girl left to her own devices in the undead apocalypse, this is a season that will challenge your expectations of how to find safety and survive in a world where no one can be trusted,” Telltale’s blog post states.
Have a look at the teaser trailer for the game, which doesn’t offer much beyond a look at what’s already happened:
And here are a few screenshots to whet your whistle:
There’s no set release date yet, but the first episode is supposed to come out later this year, with the five-episode series finishing out in 2014. It’ll be available on PC, Mac, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and even iOS. It’s already available for pre-order on PC and Mac.
