Ah, sometimes comic dreams do come true.

Back in October when press images for the new "The A-Team" movie starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton Jackson, Sharlto Copley and Jessica Biel began circulating online, I mused that it'd be nice if a comic followed suit. According to Comic Book Resources, IDW's turning my dream into a reality with Chuck Dixon and other creators at the helm.

Beginning in March two bi-weekly miniseries will debut. "The A-Team: War Stories" will run as character-centric one-shots and explore the team's lineup care of Dixon and Erik Burnham with Hugo Petrus, Casey Maloney and others handling art duties. Meanwhile, "The A-Team: Shotgun Wedding" retains a team focus with "The A-Team" film director Joe Carnahan writing alongside Tom Waltz and Stephen Mooney illustrating.

Here's some of what Dixon had to say about his A-Team cred at CBR:

"I watched it from the first episode to the last," he said. "To me, it was perfect escapist entertainment. Appealing characters, ridiculous situations, and the good guys always came out on top after firing thousands of rounds and flipping lots of cars."

It looks like Dixon and "The A-Team" fans have a pretty good understanding then.
