The Flash left us with more than a few timey-wimey questions from its first season finale, but the first official Season 2 photo may afford some speedy answers. Learn what happened after the Central City black hole, and see what’s got S.T.A.R. Labs so jumpy in the first Flash Season 2 photo!

TVInsider debuted our first official photo from The Flash Season 2, in which Joe is seen to hold his gun at an offscreen figure, while everyone else looks on. We also see that Barry’s white-logo suit has already been established in the background, but who, pray-tell, could have the team so jumpy by his (or her) appearance? Perhaps someone else, making a speedy entrance?

Of course, we still don’t know exactly what became of Barry Allen in the finale wormhole either, but the report also clarifies Season 2 picking up some time afterward, filling in the gaps thereafter. Says series lead Grant Gustin:

We pick up about six months later, and we’re going to piece together how the storm has affected everyone. It’s not as different as you’d think, but as we move forward, some things will blow fans’ minds.

Elsewhere, we know of The Flash Season 2 that The Messengers alum Shantel VanSanten will guest as DC character and Barry’s new love interest Patty Spivot, joining Masters of Sex alum Teddy Sears as Golden Age speedster Jay Garrick, Insurgent star Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, Adam “Edge” Copeland’s Atom Smasher and Season 2 big bad Zoom. We’ll also see the returns of Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold and Golden Glider (including their father), and likely others, while both Barry (and Jay!) have some spiffy new duds.
