We've all heard of trailers for trailers. That's just common practice now. But what about a trailer for a trailer inside another trailer?

In the promo for this week's season finale of Arrow, The CW has promised an "exclusive first look" at its new series The Flash during the Wednesday episode. Check out the trailer after the jump (and if you haven't been keeping up with Arrow, be aware there are some season spoilers), and catch a very brief look at The Flash in action at the end.

I'll give it this: He looks fast! And the fire trailing behind him is a nice touch. It's a little strange that he's running across a field somewhere (Smallville, maybe) and not through Central City, but maybe the idea was to give viewers the best possible look at The Flash doing what he does best.

And the logo isn't bad. It's not great, but it isn't bad. It's at least bright and colorful.

The new Flash series, which debuts this fall, stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, a Central City police scientist who got knocked into a coma during a particle accelerator test earlier this season on Arrow. It also stars Candice Patton as Iris West, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison, Jesse L. Martin’s Detective West, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon (a.k.a. Vibe), Danielle Panabaker plays Caitlin Snow (a.k.a. Killer Frost), and Rick Cosnett as Detective Eddie Thawne.
