The Flash Season 2 has kept its big bad Zoom on the back burner for a bit, between Legend-ary crossovers and Tuesday’s coming Trickster Christmas, but we’ll hopefully see the demon speedster again before long. While we wait, get an up-close look at the design for The Flash‘s new nemesis with the original concept art!

Arist Andy Poon released his initial concept art for Zoom over Twitter, which looks to have undergone a few revisions before the final product. For once, the Zoom we’ve met has menacing black eyes, rather than the energetic blue seen in some initial promos, while the costume’s texture seems noticeably more complicated.

Back before the season began, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg described the character’s appearance as:

Much more organic than the Reverse-Flash suit. In a way, it’s hard to tell if it is a suit or alive… There’s no skin showing, for all you know there’s a robot underneath, or dark energy.

Of course, the very notion that Zoom wears a modified version of Barry’s suit suggests that the two might have some connection, but will we learn more before Season 2 signs off 2015? Watch the fall finale trailer below, and stay tuned for the latest Flash.
