"The Maxx" began as a comic by Sam Kieth about a giant purple super-hobo who moves back and forth between real life and "the Outback," an alternate reality where he is king and his social worker, Julie, is his Jungle Queen. It became an equally surreal cartoon on MTV in 1995, and is now streaming online for your viewing pleasure.
