The Patriot Adventure

OK, I am not sure I get this one, but then I am a little slow at times. DaimlerChrysler and Marvel recently launched a new online comic to help promote the new Jeep Patriot. When I first heard about this I had flashbacks to Wonder Bug, Speed Buggy and even Knight Rider.

While the hero of the book is the actual Jeep but the comic seems to focus on the people and adventures they have offroading and trying to escape trouble. "Sorry Michael" but there are no talking cars in this one. The main characters all work together using the Jeep Patriot to help stop the bad guys.

Users that register on the site can suggest story-lines and help decide what happens in the online comic. People writing the top reviewed story-lines will have the opportunity to work on a print version of the comic due this spring. The first 100,000 people to register also get a free print version of the comic, so hurry over and register.

This whole promotion seems a bit odd, but if done right this could be lots of fun. I'll sit back and see where this one goes. Until then I am off to find reruns of Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors or Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch.
