Press Release

Last year, Mid-Ohio-Con was honored to present "Feedback", from Who Wants To Be A Superhero, in his very first comic book convention appearance since winning season one's competition. This year, on November 24 & 25, Feedback will return to Mid-Ohio-Con along with the winner of season two! While no one knows yet which hero will win the competition currently running on cable's Sci Fi Channel, whoever that winner is, they will be making their very first convention appearance at Mid-Ohio-Con on November 25 & 25 in Columbus, Ohio.

The SCI FI Channel, Nash Entertainment and legendary comic-book creator Stan Lee are the producers of Who Wants To Be A Superhero, an our-long weekly competition reality series that challenges a lucky few to create their very own superhero and reward the winner with the best reality competition prize yet: immortality, in their very own comic book!

Each contestant begins with an original idea for a superhero, a self-made costume and their best superhero mojo. From thousands of hopefuls, Stan Lee chooses 11 lucky finalists. Those finalists leave their mundane former lives behind and exist as their brainchild superheroes 24/7, all under Stan Lee's watchful supervision. Each week, the aspiring superheroes are challenged with competitions designed to reveal their true natures. No one will be leaping over tall buildings in a single bound; these superheroes are tested for courage, integrity, self-sacrifice, compassion and resourcefulness all traits that every true superhero must possess.

In the end, only one aspiring superhero will have the inner strength and nobility to open the gates to comic-book immortality. The winner of this competition will walk away with their character immortalized in a new comic book created by Stan Lee himself, and an appearance at Mid-Ohio-Con!

To find out who wins, watch Who Wants To Be A Superhero Thursday nights at 9pm on the Sci Fi Channel, then meet the winner in person, along with the very first winner, Feedback, at Mid-Ohio-Con.

Bringing fans comic book and pop culture fun since 1980, Mid-Ohio-Con takes place on Saturday & Sunday, November 24 & 25, in Columbus, Ohio at Battelle Hall in the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
