‘Thor: God of Thunder’ Videogame Trailer Debuts [Video]

Premiering on tonight’s VGAs, the new Thor: God of Thunder videogame trailer looks pretty dadburn promising. Sure, Sega’s got a pretty mixed track record when it comes to adapting Marvel’s live action superhero films, but there’s plenty of time for skepticism as the title’s May 3 release date (Thor itself is out May 6) thunders forward. For now, let’s all just sit back and enjoy watching Thor smash giant trolls, fire demons and friggin’ Ulik and Surtur!Between its huge monsters, official Chris Hemsworth voice acting (it’s pretty rad to hear him shout stuff like “For Asgard!”) and the knowledge that Thor writer Matt Fraction had a hand in the Nine Worlds-spanning story, there’s plenty fo be hopeful about with this title. With any luck, the trailer is just a sampling of some glorious gaming to come. Worst case scenario, fans can count on Thor being awesome in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.
