Whatever complaints we level at The Walking Dead, few could argue the artistry of the undead outshining movie zombies year after year. Season 6 served up some particularly gross walkers, from sewers to sandwiched in a quarry, so gird your stomachs for a look at the best from the Season 6 Blu-ray.

Ahead of its August 23 release, a new featurette from The Walking Dead: The Complete Sixth Season goes behind the scenes of the season’s biggest walkers, including the premiere’s skinned quarry lead, Daryl’s mossy woodland friend, and more. Cast and FX guru Greg Nicotero reveal surprising details behind each, while the full Blu-ray and DVD features can be found below:

  • Inside “The Walking Dead” (DVD ONLY)
  • Episode 616: Last Day On Earth – The Extended Version (BLU-RAY ONLY)
  • Audio Commentaries
  • Deleted Scenes
  • The Making of “The Walking Dead”
  • In Memoriam
  • 601: Out of The Quarry
  • Guts & Glory: The Death of Nicholas
  • Strength in Bonds
  • Negan: Someone to Fear
  • The Face of Death: Iconic Walkers of The Season

Among the extras, we also know that special features will include an alternate take of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan entrance from “Last Day on Earth,” in which the actor’s profanity is much more in line with the comics.

In the meantime, keep up with the latest on The Walking Dead Season 7, especially from Comic-Con 2016, and pick up the home release on August 23.
