War Machine Packs Some Serious Firepower In New ‘Iron Man 2: The Video Game’ Trailer

Of all the characters making their movie debut in the upcoming "Iron Man 2," there's one in particular who seems suited for the inevitable translation to video gaming. Black Widow and Whiplash's potential aside, I'm talking about War Machine. Yeah, he's had plenty of experience fighting pixelated evil in everything from "Marvel Vs. Capcom 2" to "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2," but a new trailer indicates his next appearance may transform him into something more than an alternate skin for the Iron Man suit.

Given the mediocre reception of Sega's initial "iron Man" video game, Kotaku remains hesitant to get excited by the trailer, but from where I'm standing I see a title written by Matt Fraction with game footage that rivals the "Iron Man: Armored Adventures" animated series (at least on its PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii ports). We'll see how the gameplay translates come its May 4 release date, but I have a feeling this entry will fare better than its predecessor.
