The recently announced relaunch of X-Men, from Brian Wood and Olivier Coipel and featuring a team made up of Storm, Jubilee, Psylocke, Rogue, Rachel Summers and Kitty Pride, has been pushed back to May, due to a bereavement for Wood.Wood posted about the decision:

"Obviously this is a very personal matter. Pushing the launch back is the best option out of all that was discussed. An uninterrupted creative run is better than random fill-ins, and in a couple months when we're past it no one will remember the delays and the work will be forever."

Given the circumstances, fans will almost certainly be both understanding and forgiving. X-Men #1, originally set to be released on April 17th, will now be in stores in late May.
