If you have you been following the internal rumblings turned external from my friend and comics auteur Eddie Campbell on his Fate of the Artist blog about the graphic novel monicker, as I have, with great amusement, you may like these short video interviews I stumbled upon (thanks Will Eisner.com) with Frank Miller by Peter Guber and Peter Bart, hosts of AMC's Sunday Morning Shootout.

In this video shot during the Cannes Film Festival last May (airing exclusively on AMCTV.com), Miller delivers his elegantly simple "elevator pitch" of what a graphic novel is in about a minute. Ask my friend the same question, and, if you know him, you'll receive a sullen look, gritting teeth and a Scottish rant.

In the creative world in which I live, however, there's room for both disparate definitions...
