That Brian K. Vaughan is such a rascal the way he wheels around comics, television and Hollywood with a bald head full of fan-favorite ideas.

The "Y: The Last Man" and "Ex Machina" creator rose to prominence through comics, joined up with the writing staff of "Lost" and is now moving on to even "greener pastures" according to showrunner Damon Lindelof in the DocArtz Lost Podcast and Olivia Munn of G4's "Attack of the Show."

Robot 6 reached out to the writer via e-mail for an official statement, but Vaughan's response begs more questions than it answers.

"My only official statement," Vaughan wrote, "I can confirm that I left 'Lost' to become best friends with Olivia Munn."

While it's probably safe to assume we won't be seeing Vaughan with a G4 microphone in his hand anytime soon, his "Lost" departure has added fuel to the speculation that one of his comic book movie options might be rolling ahead.

Of course, either course of action does little to comfort "Lost" fans reeling in his absence during the show's upcoming final season.
