At least year's Comic-Con Marvel announced plans for "Iron Man," "X-Men," "Wolverine" and "Blade" anime written by Warren Ellis and animated by Mad House Studios, showing off Iron Man and Wolverine teaser trailers featuring some impressive (if not completely representative of the final product) animation, along with a 2010 release date. One year later, Marvel is more or less delivering on that timeline, with all 12 episodes from each of the four series expected to air in Japan this October, although US fans will have to wait until an unspecified date in 2011 to catch the anime on G4.

The new "Iron Man" trailer is almost as action packed as Mad House's initial teaser, though it lacks the previous animation's dozens and dozens of spinning rockets and seems to have a more CGI-infused vibe to it. Not much can be surmised from the trailers plot aside from the fact that Iron Man might be facing down an alien monster of some kind and could come to fisticuffs with a War Machine-like suit of armor on a beach.
