If fans were bummed to learn of the cancellation of "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" on the Cartoon Network following this upcoming season's run, they were extra bummed to discover an apparent cancellation of its DC comic at the end of October. While the animated series is still on track to end after this season, DC not only isn't canceling its comic book incarnation -- the publisher is relaunching it as "The All-New Batman: The Brave and the Bold" in November.

Yesterday DC's The Source announced the new series' extra-experienced creative team of of writer Sholly Fisch (who previously wrote for "The Brave and the Bold") and artist Rick Burchett ("Batman: The Gotham Adventures," "Batman Adventures").
The first two issues will pair Batman with both Superman and Captain Marvel, with more adventures with A-list DC heroes(I'm hoping for some B and C-list heroes too, personally) to follow. No word on whether or not the stories will tie in with the previous "Brave and the Bold" series, but it wouldn't be unseemly.
