The intersection between rap and comic books is nothing we haven't talked about before, but JK Parkin at Robot 6 points out that Kenny Keil has fired off the latest salvo in the long history of crossovers between the two art forms. The Apple Bit Newton artist has taken over a dozen classic rap albums and slammed them together with various comics characters, resulting in a few clever gags and some fond trips down memory lane.

Check out half a dozen of the best, along with the covers they are paying homage to, after the jump.

Nas's 1994 classic "Illmatic" may well be the greatest rap album of all time. Like Nas, MODOK appears every couple of years with about a 50/50 chance of being worth paying attention to.

A Tribe Called Quest's "Midnight Marauders" is the other best rap album of all time. Unless you prefer "The Monet End Theory," in which case, we're gonna have to fight about it.

If you think about it, it's not too hard to see Jughead growing up to be the Ol' Dirty Bastard of Riverdale. The crown alone suggests eccentricity on a massive scale.

Not even gonna lie--every comics fan who has heard Redman's "Dare Iz A Darkside" has made this joke, but actually seeing it executed this well is kind of like dying and going to Heaven.

"He's the Batman, I'm the Sidekick?" I can dig it, if only because dead parents just don't understand!

"Big Bear Doin Thangs" is legendary. This more than lives up to the premise.
