Grant Morrison fans, the wait is over. After nearly a month of promo-fueled anticipation, the celebrated "The Invisibles," "Flex Mentallo" and "Final Crisis" scribe can now be seen toting a modified Nintendo light gun as the devilish antagonist in My Chemical Romance's new "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)." music video from the band's upcoming album "The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys."The new video features both more and less content than its teaser vid "Art is the Weapon," with a full-fledged storyline that follows a gang of muscle car driving outlaws on the run from a devil and his vampire-like ghouls through a futuristic desert stocked with laser gun vending machines. The overall aesthetic is somewhere between a '70s sentai action show, an '80s action videogame and a '90s superhero comic.

Lyrically, the song is bursting at its seams with the kind of references that do a nerdy body good. On just the first listen fans can recognize key words like "antimatter," "Batman" and numerous other shout-outs. This should come as no surprise given MCR frontman Gerard Way's growing comics pedigree, having worked on "Umbrella Academy" (the collected edition of which Morrison wrote a foreward to) and currently collaborating with co-writer Shaun Simon on a "Killjoys" comic.

"The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys" doesn't arrive in stores or online until November 22, but Morrison and MCR fans can continue to dissect the collaborators' new video below:
